"The Goddess Dances" The sea,the sea. Rises and falls, spewing salt foam in restless waves of anticipation. Yet I see, the goddess in silken waves of rainbow colors dancing in the wind. A motion of creation, with rhythmic devotion singing melodies still warm from a summer's awakening. A goddess born in spirit and song, dancing time away like a high born maiden in a palace tower. Who can capture this dance,this song and keep it's rhyme to the sound in a shell or yet silence the storm? The very universe circles the edge of eternal space with suns and worlds turning and whirling. She dances! oh universe, oh eyes still captivated by her mystery. ~ Richard D.Valentine (©2003) |
